I have always thought Mary is hilarious. There has been many a time I have read one of her posts over the phone to Tina. Some memorable ones would be when her mild mannered husband snapped in the Taco Bell drive through or the time she dyed her hair butternut squash yellow.

So I wasn't surprised when she came up with the genius that is threadbared.com. She takes pictures from vintage sewing patterns and adds quotes and comments. It reminds me a little of Lilek's Gallery of Regrettable Food. Only, having grown up with a mom who sewed, I have vivid memories of those very types of patterns strewn about the floor of the sewing room.

Be sure to scroll down to the crocheted hand puppets!

Wow, LJC thank you so much for the plug! I am deeply flattered! I started the site with my friend Kimberly earlier this month and so far we're having a lot of fun with it.

Oh, and you should TOTALLY make the hand puppets! Especially the belligerent-looking bunny. :)

Ha! I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. Thank you for ushering me down that walk of memory lane -- my mom had some of those patterns and may have even made some of the kiddie clothes for me.

Hi, LJC!
Thanks so much for that link - hilarious! I added it to my DailyCrush blog, with a credit to you, of course. You should check DailyCrush out sometime, as it seems we chuckle at and appreciate a lot of the same sorts of things! :)

Thanks again! - Kristi
