I have walked by 'wichcraft in NYC many times and thought I might stop by someday when I was hungry for a sandwich. Little did I know one of their tastiest offerings are their cookies! They had them at the media event yesterday and I was hooked! The peanut butter cream'wich are my favorite.
Tina and I risked drowning and a potential lightning strike in Bryant Park during a torrential downpour in order to get some of these cookies to take home. I meant to take a picture of them, but alas, all that is left are the wrappers!

Today was a crazy busy day with a media event for our new products (all of which I love) and in the afternoon...

we met the Compliment Guys on their Brightside Tour! Go check out the video we shot with them. I love what they are doing!

Tina and I are in NYC for work. I have one of our newest cameras and just had to take a picture of this kitty in a shop window. It's the Kodak Z950 and I luv it!

I saw a commercial for the new Sharpie Pen that is supposed to not bleed through paper. I am a Sharpie addict so I need to get one of these and try it out!

Here is the reason why I love blogging and I love going to conferences. While I was working at the Social Luxe party I got to see bloggers Fourth Breakfast and Lady M. We didn't much time to chat but I am hoping to meet up with them on my work travels later! Soooo nice!

I found this Yankee Candle at Marshalls and I couldn't believe it when I smelled it. It reminds me of the beach! It smells like suntan lotion.

It fits right in with my summer seashell display on my mantle.

This summer there are three new flavors of Jell-O... Strawberry Daiquiri, Margarita and Pina Colada. I have been able to find the Strawberry Daiquiri and Margarita but cannot find my favorite flavor Pina Colada. It's always sold out! What the heck?

I am so excited that the second season of Pushing Daisies comes out on DVD on Tuesday the 21st. It's kind of sad too though, since the show is canceled (even though it got five 2009 Emmy nominations). Aaron will probably be really glad to finally be able to delete all the episodes off of the DVR.

I love straws and I really love these paper straws i just found. I was surprised at how long they last. You would think the paper would get all soggy, but they don't. I am pretty sure I had these when I was a kid. Classics.

Awhile ago a reader emailed me to tell me about an iPhone app her husband created. Cat-o-matic makes cat noises to baffle your kitty with. I downloaded it and here is Stewie's reaction.
Maybe not the typical kitty reaction, but there you have it.

So it was time for a haircut and I wanted to do something new with my color streaks underneath so this time I went with purple! I can hear my mum groaning now, but check it out! Even though it was a very bright purple it turned out pretty subtle. I like it.

Casey Mae repsonds well to treats. So do I!

Casey Mae is a 2-year-old female Coonhound mix. She is a beautiful dog who loves to give kisses! Casey Mae is a sweet girl, and she responds very well to treats. She would really benefit from obedience training -- and it would also help her build a bond with you. Casey Mae is looking for a special person who will help her develop her doggie manners and provide her with more socialization. She would really love room to run! Casey Mae has no history with children, so she needs to meet any kids in the house, as well as any resident dogs. She would love to meet you! - Lollypop Farm

Yesterday Shruti threw a party for Vishal's graduation.

It's always great to get together with friends.

So it was time to try out the Cherry Chomper.

Ummm yeah. Cherry Chomper looked a little scary after 13 lbs of cherries but it did a great job.

We canned seven jars of cherries - (one not pictured - didn't have the matching lid)

They are just packed in a light syrup so we can make cherry pie and other goodies this winter.

My fingers are stained red, but it was so worth it.

Today we went to a Smart Car Rally at the George Eastman House that Aaron helped organize.

There were about 15 Smart Cars there with their proud owners. We had a great ride until a torrential downpour at Abbotts in Charlotte almost washed us away. The day ended with a talk and book signing from NYTimes food writer Mark Bittman.
Aaron was interviewed by Channel 8/Fox News - but they got his name wrong!

After work Aaron and I went to Brown's Berry Patch to pick cherries.

I was glad to have an extra tall picker with me.

We picked a HUGE bowl of cherries.

There was so much to do at Brown's, there were farm animals to feed etc... I'd like to go back!

I also picked up a Cherry Chomper and I am so excited to use it!

It has been raining an awful lot this summer... but wow my rain barrel is full!

Perfect for filing my watering cans for my flowers and herbs!

I forgot to mention that our CSA farm is going again. Here is last week's haul...

... and this week's veggies. Those red peppers were grilled with the onion for chicken fajitas and I'm thinking those green peppers will become stuffed peppers. Most of the cucumbers were made into a cucumber salad, the peas eaten with spaghetti noodles, butter and parmesan cheese and the lettuce with rice and hot pepper paste (Korean treat) Just saw a great idea for the zukes... zucchini bread with a layer of cream cheese in the center. Nom nom.
My parents were visiting over the holiday weekend and Stewie had to stay upstairs because their dog, Wally doesn't like cats. When my parents left I think Oscar and Stewie were happy to be reunited.

Look at them holding paws!

Shealynn is displaying one of the most amusing cat features - a fondness for sitting in boxes.

Shealynn is a 1-year-old female cat who was found as a stray. She has finished caring for her two kittens and is now spayed and all ready for adoption! Shealynn is a quiet kitty (although she likes to make little trilling noises) who likes to be around her humans. She loves other cats, too! Shealynn likes being petted and is good about using scratching posts. - Lollypop Farm

We went to the Penfield fireworks for the Fourth of July.

Aaron took the pictures... they turned out really nice.

The finale was amazing and there were bits of cardboard falling down on us at the end. Excellent!

Ever since I was a waitress in college my back hasn't been 100%. It hurts when I get up in the morning. (No I don't want to go to a chiropractor) I have heard some good things about memory foam mattresses but our current mattress is still good. So Aaron found a memory foam mattress topper online.

Oh ho ho ho... eeet is soooo nicccccce. No more back pain the morning. Thank you Serta sheep.
