Lollipop

The last time we were in Vegas, Aaron got me one of these fancy shmancy lollipops at Sugar Factory.

It is very cute, but what I really like is the protective snap cover. So convenient for enjoying your lollipop off and on without getting cat hair stuck to it. Just sayin'.

Sandwich

Sandwiches seem like a simple thing, bread with stuff inside. I was excited to see there was a 'wichcraft in Vegas, the sandwich shop I became enamoured with in NYC.

This time I got the goat cheese, avocado, celery, walnut pesto & watercress on multigrain bread. It was wonderful and as I was eating it all I could think was "why don't I make sandwiches like this?"

I try to get creative with my sandwiches... an egg in our grilled cheese, avocado in our BLT... but I could do more. I think I will put the 'wichcraft book on my wish list. Time to kick our samwaches (as Aaron says) up a notch.

Reilly #9559754

Reilly is a 3-year-old male hound mix who weighs 40 pounds. He was brought to Lollypop Farm because his owner was having personal problems that left him unable to care for him. Reilly has lived with dogs before. He needs to meet any kids in the home before adoption to make sure that they�ll be buddies. Reilly would make a great companion!

Lions at MGM

I am in Vegas for just a couple days for a photography show and that means I get to see my friends Peggy and Walt. Before we went to dinner we took a moment to check out the lion habitat at MGM. I almost fell over because there were PEOPLE in the enclosure WITH the LIONS!

I didn't get great pictures because I was scrambling to get a pic with my phone before someone was eaten. There was some voice over that said the lions are used to the trainers being in there. One of them even PATTED the lions on the HEAD! They also said there are 37 lions and they live out on a ranch and they take turns being at MGM. These two had a bath that morning. They get washed with Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo. So they are nice and soft. But does that mean I want to go in and pet their heads? No.

Red Carpet Bleachers

Whew! What a day in the Oscar Red Carpet Bleachers! It started out sunny, rained like mad for 5 minutes and then the show went on.

I got to go down on the actual red carpet for a little bit in the morning. It's a flurry of activity down there.

Tina and I were sitting in the "B" section - right where the limos drop the stars off. There wasn't any press there so I wasn't on camera at any point and I doubt that I will be in People magazine this year. It was a great vantage point though.

I have a real appreciation for stars that take the time to recognize their fans. Right back atcha Morgan.

I was on the lookout for Neil Gaiman after Aprille told me what he would be wearing. I got shy so I made Tina shout "NEIL"! He kindly turned and waved for a photo.

And George. Well it's easy to see why George is adored by his fans. He hopped over the rope and some hedges to sign a few autographs. No one else did that. I managed to thrust a notebook from the girl sitting behind me into his hands and she got his autograph. My good deed for the day. And what a great day! Who won best picture by the way? : )

In Hollywood

Meanwhile we wandered around Hollywood and Highland for a bit. I love that Trigger left his mark.

Liberty at Target

I just saw a commercial for Liberty of London at Target.

I love Liberty prints - this is so cool.

Here is a very blurry pic of Aaron in front of Liberty. When I was in London, I didn't buy any fabric but I did get some tote bags from Liberty. I think Aaron got some cufflinks.

I checked out the Liberty Target web page - you can download liberty prints for your iPhone. I like these dresses they had on the site.

They are also going to have a Liberty print bike, ties and other various items. Cute!

Mini Frog Cupcakes

It's Wegmans St Patrick's Day frog cupcake time! And just when you thought they couldn't get any cuter, they made mini ones!

The container comes with three of the mini frogs.

I may have squealed out loud at the store when I saw them!

Introducing AaronSaysJennySays Blog!

Aaron and I have been working on something that I'm really excited about. We have started a new blog together! AaronSaysJennySays is a blog where we will simultaneously post about recipes, restaurants, music, movies, products and eventually home improvement projects.

We write each of our posts without seeing what the other wrote. We don't always agree but the funny thing is there is usually something the same - we both used the phrase "Chop Chop Fire Fire" in our Sunrise Grill review and described the album Relator as "toe-tapping".

So AaronSaysJennySays is a work in progress but we have few posts over there already like what Aaron thinks about our new electric fireplace and what I think about our new electric fireplace.

There will be lot's more to come!

Katie is a 1-year-old female cat who was abandoned with her kittens and brought to Lollypop Farm. She is a petite girl who likes being held. Katie stayed in foster care for a while to raise her kittens, and she is having a tough time adjusting to the shelter environment. She would love to have a new home soon! - Lollypop Farm

Snowmagedon Snowman

Pittsford Dairy Ice Cream

We are big fans of Pittsford Farms Dairy. We are also big fans of ice cream. So we were excited when the Dairy started to make their own ice cream.

The Dairy was taking suggestions for ice cream flavors so of course Aaron and i had to submit a few. Among our entries were banana split, pb and j and grapenut. Grapenut is a local favorite back home in PA.

Today when we went to the Dairy what did we find in the freezer? Grapenut! And they gave us a quart to try. It's so good! We are very pleased with ourselves right now.

Snowmagedon 2010

We got some snow today. The snow gauge says we are up to 15 inches now.

Oscar likes running around but it's so deep now, he is limited to areas that are shoveled or plowed.

Tina who is in Florida on vacay asked for some photos so I took some of the house.

I saw that Giada has a line of kitchen gear and cooking ingredients at Target. I like the colors but I had to say the gear could be cuter... like Nigella's egg shaped items. Has anyone tried the pasta or other food stuff?

I have stared at Matthew's photo for quite awhile and I can't figure out if he has extra large nostrils or two marks on his nose. Either way it cracks me up and how cute would it be to see him peering up at you around your house?

He is a playful cat�he likes mouse toys�and has a cute meow. Matthew has lived with cats, dogs, and children before, and he did well with every one! I am in Anaheim, California a few days for work. I am so close to Disneyland I can see it over the treetops. It rained this evening which I thought was rare for this area? Walking back from dinner I saw this little guy crossing the sidewalk. Funny how if it's a slug you think ewwww, but slap a shell on it and suddenly it's an adorable snail. Keep on, keepin' on little buddy.

And now I am throwing tights into the mix. I vowed I will never wear them without a skirt or dress - I'm not brave enough to wear just like pants. I really digging them. They are so comfy and kicky.

Microwave popcorn popper

Aaron had a movie theme for Valentines Day this year. He got us tickets to see "Valentines Day" and he got me this microwave popcorn popper. I love the popper. It even has a mesh lid that you can put butter in so it melts as the popcorn pops and coats the popcorn. Yum!
