If you are growing your own figs in a cold climate (and therefore have a type of fig tree that is adapted to a cold climate) then there are no fig wasps in your area and the fig tree doesn't need them for pollination. Therefore, no wasp parts in your fig.<br /><br />As far as not eating a fig because of veganish worries....it's a natural process, no wasps were trained by humans to slave away on the fig farms.
