I work 2 seconds away from here, so I stopped by today and picked up some cupcakes and a tart.

When I saw the cupcakes, I said, "Ooooh! They ARE small!" and the woman said, "Yes, word is getting out."

so my fiance and i had dinner at matthew's last night and then, after reading your blog post in the morning, i wanted to head to this new bakery. we live on upton so we're literally right down the road from this place... and silly me didn't realize that a bakery wouldn't be open past 7. UGH! i'll stop by this afternoon after work and tell them you sent me. red velvet- HERE I COME!

I love that you were still so excited that you wrote "brank spanky new bakery". It's the "spanky" part that kills me. They must have turned to each other after you left and said, "She's either going to get us business or scare customers away with all the drooling and crazy talk." We kid, of course. ;o) Hopefully all your Rochester peeps will now descend en masse onto the bakery and deplete their stock.

It's great that you're publicizing a new small business. I've always tried to shop locally in my little town, and I'm now in the process of opening a craft shop/studio where I live. Merchants can't do it without customers.
