The tights obsession is still going strong. I have been adding to my collection.
And now I am throwing tights into the mix. I vowed I will never wear them without a skirt or dress - I'm not brave enough to wear just like pants. I really digging them. They are so comfy and kicky.
The first commercial I saw was $15 corduroys at Old Navy... oooh I need some cords for fall. The next week was $15 sweaters... hmmm I need a new cardigan. I told Aaron... no more $15 deals would be luring me into Old Navy. Then they offered $15 puffy vests. *sigh*
Turns out it was Old Navy's 15 year birthday, which accounts for all the $15 deals. Totally nabbed me.
Today I was in New York to speak on a Media Relations Summit panel about corporate blogging with Debbie Weil and the Real Network blogger, Lacy Kemp. The panel went great but what I really want to focus on here is that WE DID NOT PLAN OUR OUTFITS. What are the chances we all have sky blue on? Sweet.
I have a thing for dresses over jeans. This is my new favorite, a corduroy number I just got.
Just one problem I discovered. No pockets. I don't think I realized what pocket person I was until I didn't have any and couldn't get to my jean pockets.
I spotted a bunch of t-shirts at Target under the label "Tell the People". i really liked the birds on barbed wire design. They were for men, but the small size fit just fine.
I love pockets. I like
putting my hands in my pockets. I like putting lip gloss in my
pockets.
But every once in awhile I will
get a new pair of pants or a jacket and the pocket are SEWN SHUT. Just
like the pockets on my new grey jacket shown above. It is a mystery of
the universe.
Everyone has been so helpful
in finding a pattern for my little snowman... (I think this
one is spot on) that I am hoping that someone will know the
answer to this question.
Why
do clothes that have pockets sometimes come sewn shut?
I am so enamoured with the Martha
Stewart line at Macy's. I liked her stuff at KMart, now this
Tiffany blue at Macy's... it's got a hold on me. I can hardly stand it.
I am also pretty excited about the Vera
Wang collection at Kohls. Her clothes are so elegant. I could
definitely get used to this high end designer at everyday stores trend.
Several people commented on how they liked the shirt I
was wearing to the Rhinos
game last Sunday. I have to admit I didn't think it would work when I
saw it on the store, but when I tried it on I liked it, Aaron liked it
and it was super comfy.
It's called an Angie Kimono... I found another
one online and ordered it too!
Our mall got a Forever 21, but I had never gone in it. Then I read this article in the NY Times and was more interested. Tina and I stopped in and I found a cupcake tank top I went crazy for. After Aprille got me a cupcake t-shirt for my birthday I want cupcake everything.
At mystarbuckshirt.com you can build your cup of coffee... and at one time you could get a shirt with the finished cup on it. I was so excited when I built my coffee... it really sounds like me... short, sugary, nutty. (I don't really ask for organic milk... there was no whole milk option and the organic green looked nice with my design)
I was crushed when I found out you couldn't get the tshirts anymore... and super crushed when I found out they were actually free! You can go to the online auction and buy a shirt from a celebrity... but I don't want THEIR coffee on a shirt! I want MY coffee on a shirt. I want to walk into Starbucks... point to my shirt... smile and nod.
