Aaron had a craving for these spritz cookies... we found a recipe in Betty Crocker.

I had a spritz cookie gun that was given to me a few years ago.

I also just bought a vintage one at auction that had completely different patterns!

It worked just as well as the new one...

... and we were able to double the number of cookie patterns!

Cookies - nom nom nom.

I have walked by 'wichcraft in NYC many times and thought I might stop by someday when I was hungry for a sandwich. Little did I know one of their tastiest offerings are their cookies! They had them at the media event yesterday and I was hooked! The peanut butter cream'wich are my favorite.

Tina and I risked drowning and a potential lightning strike in Bryant Park during a torrential downpour in order to get some of these cookies to take home. I meant to take a picture of them, but alas, all that is left are the wrappers!

Tina has been going on and on about French Macarons (macaroons) lately, so I decided to make some as Easter treats.

They were much easier than I expected.

The recipe I was following used white chocolate ganache as the filling. I wanted to make the cookies pink...

The batter was pink, but they came out of the oven tan! I was impressed how they went from being little puddles of batter to puffy, crispy cookies.

I was thrilled that the cookies really looked like authentic French Macarons! (macaroons)

And they tasted pretty darn good too.

This evening we had our Cookies and Cocktails party. There were a wide variety of cookies.

And this year we broke out the Wii... Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution!

I had bags for everyone to take cookies home with them.

Spreading the cookie love.

At one point late in the evening Stewie informed us... "I am going home with this one. She smells nice and is promising me treats."

"Whadya gonna do about it?"

My coworkers and I baked several different Betty Crocker cookie recipes to celebrate a partnership with Betty Crocker. You can read about it on 1000 Words blog.

I made the Mexican Chocolate Cookies, which was convienent because I had Mexican chocolate tablets leftover from the baked apples I made for my Halloween dinner.

I love using this Mexican chocolate... it's called Abuelita and is made by Nestle. Abuelita means "little grandmother" and there is picture of one on the packaging. I like it for hot chocoate, but it can be used for many things.

It was very good in these cookies! Note the super cool carried Aaron made me to carry the cookies in. He made it out of two used clementine boxes. Crafty!

ladybug cookie

Wegman's bakery is making these ridiculously cute sugar cookies. Just makes me want to buy one of each. You gotta watch out for that black icing on the ladybug's eyes though... it turns your mouth black!

Yesterday while other people were scrambling around Wegmans looking for tortilla chips and chili powder, I was drooling over the baked goods case. These little suger cookies are my favorite as I think they have the proper cookie to frosting ratio any good cookie should have.

I also succumbed to the call of these mini-croissants and sugar brioche. Can you stand these croissants? tiny=cute
