For this year's Easter eggs I tried this method using some blue dye I ordered online, small plants and stockings.

I was so excited to hear that my speckled eggs on Craftster made it into boston.com's 8 Easter crafts for family fun. How awesome is that?

I saw a link to these ruby eggs in YumSugar. We have these back home in Pennsylvania, except they are called pickled eggs. They look freaky, but I like 'em. We had some for Easter dinner.

They are pretty easy to make. They are just hard boiled eggs soaked in red beet juice. That's all.

I guess "ruby eggs" sound nicer than "pickled eggs".

Today the Easter bunny brought Aaron an authentic pair of British Wellies filled with peanut butter eggs.

Filled from the toes to the tops with peanut butter cups and eggs.

This year we got a 24k "gold" egg coloring kit for our Easter eggs.

We colored the eggs at my parents house with my sister. I think they turned out pretty nice.

It did a pretty good job coloring my fingers too.

With Easter coming early this year, only five days after St. Patrick's Day, it poses a problem for me. Do I decorate for St. Patrick's Day? Or for Easter?

I couldn't resist things like my marshmallow peep bunny lights. So I skipped the shamrocks and went right for the Easter decorations.

Target has done it again with their Easter theme. This year they used Japanese character Chiyo Chiyo (means Chick Chick).

Chiyo Chiyo is a round chick peep with no legs or wings. Just two eyes and a beak. Check out the "curtain" of Chiyo Chiyos. Crazy cute.

This round Chiyo Chiyo pillow came home with us.

On the Target Chiyo Chiyo website you can send Chiyo Chiyo Easter cards, download an Easter countdown calendar or Chiyo Chiyo wall paper. Oh and order Chiyo Chiyo stuff.

This is what Aaron and I would look like if we were chocolate bunnies. (Tina gave them to us)

Happy Easter everyone!

I colored Easter eggs today with Aaron and my sister. I had it in my head that I wanted eggs that looked like real bird eggs. So after I dyed my eggs, I put them in a box and splatter painted them with a toothbrush and paint. I think they look cute. My dad said he has never seen a bird lay an egg like these.

As soon as I got off my redeye flight from San Fran today, I repacked my bags to go home to PA for Easter this weekend.

It's been tough planning for Easter when I have been gone for two weeks. I haven't gotten to decorate the house or color eggs. I should have at least gone online and ordered these Vosges chocolate bunnies. I love Vosges chocolate and these bunnies are too cute.

The descriptions for the different flavors are hilarious...

"Red Fire - Volcano Rabbit (Romerolagus diazi) Hops in the pine forests near the foothills of the Popocatepetl volcanoes. Rub my belly and you'll feel my spice, Ancho and Chipotle chillies, Ceylon cinnamon, and dark chocolate. Ahreeba, Ahreeba!!"
