Still working on the process of blogging from my iPhone. This is a pic
I took with my iPhone of my alliums that decided to bloom nearly a
month after all the other alliums in our neighborhood.

When Aaron and I were in NYC we stopped into a CB2. He shook his head when he saw me pick up these little bud vases. I have a bad habit of buying things that are going to be a challenge to get home on the plane.

I got them anyhow and I am so glad I did. They are tiny, about the size of a lemon, just right for these little blooms.

CB2 had so many cool vases! I love the hanging ones! It was hard to limit myself.

butternut

We just harvested the last of our garden for the year. The final crop was our butternut and acorn squash.

I have pictures of this year's garden on My Gallery.

soup

Aaron made yummy butternut squash soup, but I forgot to take a picture of it so all I have is a picture of the soup tureens we ate it out of. This recipe is really good, esp if you put a dollop (or two) of creme fraiche on top.

herbs

I also moved all my herbs inside and now my dining room smells like sage and rosemary. Yum.

sunflowers

I have pictures of some of this year's flowers on My Gallery too.

This is what was in my yard a few weeks ago.

Take a good look, because now my yard is covered in yicky snowy slush.

I like winter... just not in April.

While we were in Ithaca we went to visit an orchid grower that Aaron met recently at a floral show. You may have seen his orchids at Wegmans. We got a tour of his greenhouse... there were hundreds and hundreds of orchids growing. Then we had tea with him which was amazing. I was thrilled because my two orchids at home just bloomed and I got to take another home to join them.
