I am no fan of Microsoft, but I am a fan of bunnies, cupcakes, pink stuff and Amy Sedaris. I was poking around Facebook when I hit this Microsoft ad with Amy Sedaris running Dusty Food Cupcakes with rabbits making cupcakes. I about passed out.
Bunnies with Chef hats are making cupcakes on a conveyer belt.
The bakery is pink with pastel colored decor. So cute. I was drooling over her vintage spice jars and mint green phone.
Clover the bunny shows Amy how to use Microsoft to organize her small business that is in disarray. At the end she goes skipping off to a rabbit convention in a bright pink dress. Wonderful! You can watch the video here.
We went to Kenn and Jenn's fourth annual Super Bowl party, but I was a bit more preoccupied with something other than the game. Kenn found a "pod" a few months ago and brought it inside.
Three days ago this ginormous moth crawled out of the pod and has taken up residence in their home. They call it "Kenn's moth". I call it Mothra.
Aaron got me this calendar for my office after Christmas. Domo calendar. Pretty funny right?
Now take a closer look. Anything look out of order? Look at today's date. Today is supposed to be the 28th. This caused some confusion for me last week before I realized what was going on.
I am nervous to see what the coming months may have.
Now it must be obvious that I am pretty busy most of the time.
And when you are busy all the time, things fall through the
cracks.
I was reading through the sessions that are going to be at
BlogHer and I noticed that Kathy
Cano Murillo was going to be there. Then it hit me. Over a
year ago Crafty Chica sent me a copy of her book Art de
la Soul so I could read it and blog about what I thought.
Ewwww yeah... never got around to that. Goodness knows what happened...
but how horrible that I forgot.
Anywhooo, I did read it and it is awesome. I even made my
friend Kenn from Mexico City read it and he oohed and ahhed over it. It
made me want to do some sort of crafts that reflect my half Korean
heritage. It's hard not to get excited over her vibrant and colorful
craft ideas.
Now that I am on a roll... here is a shout out to Threadbared. I
read Mary's blog for quite awhile and she sent me a copy of her book
when it came out too. It is hilarious and now I can't throw out any of
the old knitting and sewing magazines I have sitting around.
All you have to do is “... pull the
pickles from the jar, cut them in halves, make double-strength
Kool-Aid, add a pound of sugar, shake and let it sit — best
in the refrigerator — for about a week."
I must say I am intrigued. This joins the ranks of such food
oddities as turducken, deep fried oreos and oh hey... deep fried
pickles. What is it about pickles that make people want to take them to
the next level? What about ice tea pickles? Coca Cola pickles... oooooh!
I took the red eye home yesterday and I still feel a little off. I am even a good airplane sleeper.
If you aren't a good plane sleeper here are several products to help you sleep on a plane. You don't want to look like the woman in the first picture above. Look how comfy the guy is with his 1rst Class Sleeper sitting behind her.
I have yet to see someone pull out a Posh Air airplane sleeping bag and crawl into it.
I think the last item is pure genius. You inflate the Sky Rest Travel Pillow, place it on your lap, lean over and you are off to dream land.
