I came home from the Buick Open on Friday, just missing riding in the blimp because it was stuck in Toledo due to bad weather.
I had a great time at the tournament. Buick had a nice set up. I was especially enthralled with the Buick golf carts. So cute. I want one to drive around my neighborhood.
You can read more about my few days in Michigan on 1000 Words here, here and here.
I got to go to the top of Kodak tower to watch the baby falcons be put back in their nest... you can see Mariah, the falcon mom swooping the bird handlers.
Last night was the season finale for The Celebrity Apprentice. Did you catch the mention of some of the celebrities talking about Kodak on the website Kodak World?
On Kodak World there are three videos from Vinny, Nely and Marilu. Vinny's spot is sooo good... you gotta watch it. Especially Soprano fans. Nely's spot is beautifully shot and it's hard not to get a little misty eyed when she tells her story of leaving Cuba without anything and going back as an adult to get her family photographs. Marilu's spot is funny. I actually got to watch it being taped last week. It reminds me of the Geico commercials where they get celebrity personalities to tell customer stories (which by the way has Mrs. Buttersworth in the latest)
We went to a party this evening for the airing of The Celebrity Apprentice episode featuring Kodak.
Check out Aaron and I in Donald masks.
And get a load of this! I was standing around munching on chicken wings and next thing I know I am in front of a TV camera. I was on the 11 o'clock news chattering away! Crazy!
Everyone at the office is very excited about tomorrow night's episode of The Celebrity Apprentice.
The task is going to feature the Kodak All-in-One Inkjet printers and it is going to be awesome.
You can read more about it at the Kodak Celebrity Apprentice website. There is also a downloadable printable Apprentice CD calendar and Donald Trump mask.
Kodak Gallery Scan Van came to our office building this week! The Scan Van is equipped with high speed Kodak scanners that can scan pictures in seconds. It is amazing how fast they work. I had two hundred pictures scanned in ten minutes, and that is with stopping to tape small pictures to a larger piece of paper, wiping off the scanner after my dusty pictures went through and color correcting a few pictures. After they are scanned they are uploaded to the Kodak Gallery.
If you have shoeboxes full of pictures, the Scan Van is the answer to your prayers.
I had a lot of fun looking though my albums and pulling out pictures (no shoeboxes for my pictures) Here are pictures of myself and Aaron as babies. We were both pretty tubby, but I think I win the best hair prize.
Me in my natural element... behind a birthday cake. Aaron grinning away as usual.
I had a few of my parents and family. This is my dad when he was a little boy and a group shot of my mom with her mom and her siblings.
Here one of my parents when they were dating... heh heh and one of my mother with her sisters on the day she left Korea to come to America.
I am so glad I have these images digitized now. I only wish I had more pictures that are at my parents house to take to the Scan Van. You can see more of the pictures I had scanned in my Gallery.
I'm not sure where the Scan Van will be next but when I hear where it will be going I will post it here.
We had a great day today at the Kodak Theatre... unveiling the
winning paint scheme for the Kodak No. 12 car and printing out pictures
from our Kodak All-in-One Printers for people that stopped by. Oh, and
we gave out those tickets for old printers... Shout out to Craft & Bake
who showed up for tickets with printer in hand!
We also had THE Nextel Cup on display. I was enamoured with
the giant Tiffany bag it came in. I could sleep in that!
We were at the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen today. Go Kodak
No.12!
Aaron and I went for a pace car ride, saw the car up close and watched
the pit crew during the race.
While the Kodak team is my favorite, me being me... I am
attracted to the cute mascots. It cracked me up to see Little Debbie's
mug on the hood of a car. The Hamburger Helper hand is awesome. Note
they are called The Helping Hand Pit Crew. Also loving Poppin' Fresh
the doughboy and Tony the Tiger.
The cool Zippo car was there and check out these Croc rides!
I saw these UPS trucks out back. A flame painted one, an old
one and one the size of a golf cart. Cute!
This morning Kodak's building #9 was imploded and I had a
front row seat. I have seen buildings in Vegas implode on tv, but this was my
chance to see it in person. I took pictures while Aaron shot video.
There was a countdown, a series of boom boom booms, a long pause, the
building crumpling in on itself and then a billowing dust cloud rolling
across the parking lot. Wow!
