I am so enamoured with the Sweet Millions New York Lottery commercials. There are billboards with puppies, kittens and bunnies all over New York city. Too much cute.
I tried to find the song in the bunny commercial but it seems it was written just for the commercial and the little bit in the commercial is all there is.
I am in NYC for a few days for work. I always cut through Manhattan Square Park when I'm near there just to take a peek at the dog park. Look at this little squirt strutting along. Pip pip.
I started today off at the Women to Watch breakfast where we were paired up with interns that we could chat with. These gals are some smart cookies - great futures ahead of them.
At the luncheon all the honorees sat on stage and were asked one question. There were 950 people at the luncheon to hear what we had to say!
Here I am with my award! What an amazing event! I am so honored to be included with the other women who were recognized!
I love NYC's Bryant Park. Not just because it's surrounded by some of my favorite things, Kinokuniya Book Store, Kati Roll, Jamba Juice, Crumbs Cupcakes... but I like the park itself.
Tomorrow is the Ad Age Women to Watch luncheon and I arrived in NYC today. I had work to keep up with so Bryant Park with it's free wireless was my makeshift office.
Here are some of the other cool things they have in the park - almost like an outdoor library - books, magazines and newspapers are available in the Reading Room.
There are ping pong tables...
... and after work concerts and book readings. They also show movies and have free yoga sessions.
Most recently discovered is Lily O'Brien's Chocolate Cafe by Bryant Park. Look at that hot chocolate!
I have walked by 'wichcraft in NYC many times and thought I might stop by someday when I was hungry for a sandwich. Little did I know one of their tastiest offerings are their cookies! They had them at the media event yesterday and I was hooked! The peanut butter cream'wich are my favorite.
Tina and I risked drowning and a potential lightning strike in Bryant Park during a torrential downpour in order to get some of these cookies to take home. I meant to take a picture of them, but alas, all that is left are the wrappers!
Tina and I are in NYC for work. I have one of our newest cameras and just had to take a picture of this kitty in a shop window. It's the Kodak Z950 and I luv it!
I was in NYC for work during Halloween, so Aaron had to hand out candy to the trick or treaters by himself.
He decorated just like I would and added music, a black light and a smoke machine. This is a picture of the front door he sent to my phone. He hung shredded garbage bags for effect.
He did a good job, because he counted 306 trick or treaters this year!!!
Halloween in NYC was interesting. You get used to seeing ghouls riding on scooters and hanging out of taxis.
The day after is interesting too as you find abandoned costumes here and there. This Domo outfit was left on a post. He looks like an evil Domo.
Walking to my hotel I spotted this White Castle. I thought "What the heck?" and went in. I just watched Harold and Kumar. Tastes pretty good at eleven o'clock at night.
I am in NYC again and Domo is with me. Despite his protests I made him pose with the Naked Cowboy at Times Square. I think I had Jamba Juice smeared on my camera lens... hence the blurry upper left hand corner. Whups.
Domo was relieved to discover the Naked Cowboy is not completely naked.
Domo and I also swung by Garrett Popcorn to get more of "the mix" for Tina. I first had "the mix" of cheese and caramel in Chicago. It sounds wierd, but it is delicious. And also addictive apparently.
I forgot to link to my pictures from my NYC trip. I have them on My
Gallery. There are some pictures of the amazing Christmas
display windows at Lord&Taylor.
I saw this pink VW Bug in NYC and got really excited. Thoughts of
trading in my 2000 green Bug raced through my mind. But when I checked
the VW site, no
pink Bugs to be had. *sigh*
I wouldn't mind one of these old school bugs either.
When I go to NYC there are certain places I just HAVE to go
to... Jamba Juice,
Pomme Frites
and Secret
Burger Joint. Thanks to some suggestions and wandering
around... I have three more.
On this trip to NYC we did something I have always wanted to
do, we went to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. It's the
perfect time to go because it's their 75th Anniversary
Christmas Spectacular.
The Rockettes first came out as reindeer. They had a lot of
acts and it was all amazing.
I was excited about the live camels, sheep and donkeys in the
nativity.
Radio City Music Hall is gorgeous and the show was great. I
walked around with stars in my eyes for hours afterwards. And I HAD to
have the Collectors Edition Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular
Program.
I am in NYC where I spoke on a PR panel about social media yesterday.
I don't leave until this evening and Aaron flew in last night to join me. love
NYC at the holidays!
