We finally got our scooters out on the road this season. Aaron's needed a new battery. To celebrate we took them to Buck Bucks.

Aaron picked up Yes Man from Red Box and I wasn't sure I wanted to watch it. I had sort of sworn off Jim Carey movies, but it turned out to be pretty good and it had Zoey Deschanel in it!
And Zoey rides a scooter! (Aaron says it's an Aprillia scooter)
I love her helmet too! It has eyeballs on it! It totally made watching the movie worth it.

There are lots of bikes, mopeds and scooters in Beijing. Not as many as there used to be I am told.
I saw this orange scooter with pandas on it outside the Olympic Green.
Domo insisted on trying out this moped we saw. Not quite his size.
I like the Hello Kitty mudflap on this scooter. I wonder what the sign above it says?
I am taking oodles of pictures here in Beijing. I posted some tips for taking travel pictures over on 1000 Words Blog so be sure to take a look and let me know what you think there.

Last night I went for my first ride with scooter club this summer. Well, actually I left my Buddy behind and rode with Aaron, 'cause we went for a really long ride with lots of hills.
We ended up at Mona Lisa's Gelato Cafe in Webster. Scooter riders like their ice cream.

Today we went to pick up MY NEW SCOOTER! It took us awhile to find one
that was small enough for me and we decided on a Buddy .
And I got it in pink! I can hardly stand it.
I have to get my insurance and registration and then Aaron is taking me
out to practice riding. I am guessing that since I now have it... it
will rain the rest of the week... I'm pretty sure.
We picked up my scooter from a shop by Ithaca, so we spent the
afternoon there and had dinner at Moosewood to celebrate the new
the new scooter.

This evening I was puttering around the house when
Aaron came running inside. He was supposed to be at scooter
club (Negative
Image Scooter Club )... and he was... he just brought them all
to our house.
I hopped on and we were off. If you think you get some stares
zipping along on a scooter... try it with a gang of 15 scooters.
It was so much fun. I shot some more videos... this one and a
couple more here.

Now that it is nice outside, Aaron has his scooter running. We
spent the weekend scootering here and there.
I love riding on the scooter. Somehow you can see more than
you can inside a car.
I was inspired to shoot some video while riding yesterday and
made this little video. I feel like a regular filmmaker.
