I have seen Sugar cosmetics, but I was surprised to see this pair of Sugar shoes. Ah they were technically in the girls (as in not womens) section, but what the heck. They fit.
They did have red bows on the toes I didn't like so I ripped then off and replaced them with these big red buttons!
I love my rainboots. I would wear them in the winter too, but with just the rubber your feet get really cold. I was really excited when I saw these Moovboots... waterproof wellies with 100% sheepskin that are perfect for wearing in the snow.
They come in a short version and a tall version. They are a bit pricey though and with last years boots holding up just fine, I cannot justify them.
I love Chuck Taylors, but when I read about No Sweat sneakers on Natural/Artificial blog I was interested. No Sweat provides a competitively priced fairly traded product to consumers and a living wage to their workers.
I told Aaron about them, hinting that they would be a great Christmas idea. He surprised me with them last week instead.
The sneakers come with info on the wages and benefits of the workers that produce the sneakers. And the sneaks are pretty darn cute.
I think I could pretty much live in flip flops through the summer. I have been hearing about these Brazilian flip flops called Havaianas. I found myself on the website today and sorta kinda ordered a couple pairs. They had such cute patterns!
Aaron in case you are reading this... I got you a pair too.
It was raining the past two times I was in NYC. I was pleased to see how popular Wellies were. I saw lots of girls wearing them. I hate getting my feet wet, so I have been a fan of rain boots for a long time.
Aaron got me these cupcake rain boots for Christmas. Look how jealous Oscar is.
I just picked up a new pair of baby blue Chuck Taylors. I am really glad I did, because even though it is almost sandal weather... I won't be wearing any open toe shoes.
After the great toe smashingincident of 2008, my toenail and I have parted ways. It's gross, I know. I almost passed out myself this morning in my hotel room when the separation went down.
Poor toe will be sheltered within these snazzy new Chuckies the next few months. *sigh*
I got these sneakery boots this fall in anticipation of inclement weather. They are so warm and comfy they make me sleepy. (they are Roxy Delano boots in case anyone is wondering) I think the birds are the cutest.
And my "tights" are actually thigh high socks from American Apparel. I HATE tights... one leg connected to the other... twisting and restricting.... ack! These thigh high socks are the perfect alternative.
I went on a shoe buying extravaganza and I am embarrassed to say I came home with THREE pairs of new shoes. But I love them so much I don't feel that bad. I am on some sort of red accessory kick.
I did get all three at discount stores and I plan to go through my closet and donate some of my barely-worn-thus-time-to-let-go pairs.
