Starbucks was giving away samples of their new signature hot chocolates, regular, hazelnut and salted caramel. I tried the salted caramel and almost passed out cold. The salty with the sweet... it is sooooo good.
As with all seasonal featured drinks, I am already panicking about the day they don't have it anymore.
I finally tried the new Starbuck's Vivanno smoothies. They're no Jamba Juice but they were okay. At first Orange Mango Banana was a little powdery tasting. They have a lot of protein and fiber packed in them though!
My favorite drink this summer is the iced mocha coffee. Even ice cubes dream of it.
I was admiring Starbuck's new cup design with their older logo when Aaron pointed out what I thought were stirrers. "What strange little stirrers!" I thought.
Then he showed me that these "stirrers" were actually little plugs for the sippy hole in the lid. What a great idea!
I can't tell you how many times I have been transporting one or more cups of hot coffee only to have the coffee slosh out the little sippy holes all over me. One of our Starbucks even kept a scotch tape dispenser on the counter for people to tape the holes shut in an effort to stop the sloshing. I have seen Aaron unsuccessfully stuff a napkin in the hole on many occasions.
Now we can use the little plastic pluggy thingys to stop up the cup lid sippy holes.
I dropped a glass casserole dish directly on my big toe last night. It hurt like nothing has ever hurt before. My toenail is very purple and I imagine the story is going to play out much like this poor toe. I will spare you a gruesome picture of said toe and instead show you my really cute Valentine's mug Aaron got me at Starbucks.
They are on sale now. I like how the inside is red. Just had some hot chocolate in it to make my toe feel better.
At mystarbuckshirt.com you can build your cup of coffee... and at one time you could get a shirt with the finished cup on it. I was so excited when I built my coffee... it really sounds like me... short, sugary, nutty. (I don't really ask for organic milk... there was no whole milk option and the organic green looked nice with my design)
I was crushed when I found out you couldn't get the tshirts anymore... and super crushed when I found out they were actually free! You can go to the online auction and buy a shirt from a celebrity... but I don't want THEIR coffee on a shirt! I want MY coffee on a shirt. I want to walk into Starbucks... point to my shirt... smile and nod.
