Then two cardinals spent some time teasing Stewie.
They took turns sitting just out of reach on the fence, chirping their heads off. Drove him nuts.

I have always wanted an Eames chair and I found this rocker on overstock.com (thanks to a blog post from Lucky Olive )
It did take me awhile to get the chair out of the box though. Stewie sat on it and stared at me for a long time. "Oh, did you want to open this? What? This box here? This box under me?"

We finally saved up enough kitty litter points to send away for something fun for Stewie. This kitty back scratcher showed up at our door last week.

Today Tina discovered an app called BubbleTweet that lets you add little videos to your twitters.
When I got home I did a few of Oscar eating leftover pancakes.

Aaron and I stopped in at Nook today and since they were having a 50% off sale, we picked up a Fatboy dog bed for Oscar.
As you can see Stewie likes it a lot too.
I am thrilled because the Fatboy is super durable and I can wipe it down after Oscar has been drooling bisquit slobber on it.
That is... when Stewie hasn't laid claim to it.

It seems like the Wii craze had died down a bit. We did get Wii Fit.
And Guitar Hero for the Wii.
And we picked up a WiiKitty. Hah hah. No... these were pictures I took for the photo site WiiKitty ... pictures of kitties with Wii remotes.
I kept checking the site to see Stewie show up and was starting to think it had been rejected... then I realized the site hasn't been updated since April. Bummer.

It is high time I wrote about our completed kitchen tile project. We actually finished it a couple months ago, but my kitchen hasn't been tidy enough to take "finished" pictures. Hah!
I was so sick of our old lineoleum floor... it had little nicks and cuts and I just couldn't get the spot where Oscar comes in from the backyard clean. We picked these brown tiles and chose a dove grey grout to match. It really wasn't too much work to lay down the tile. We did it in a weekend. We bought a tile cutter for less than $100 and it was so worth it. Aaron did the cutting and laying while I pretty much handed him tiles and kept the four legged critters out of the kitchen. You can see more pictures of the process on my Project Gallery .
Oscar and Stewie approve of the new tile floor.
While we had everything pulled out of the kitchen we painted it a nice butter yellow. I like how it looks next to our Tiffany blue foyer. Mmmm butter.

Aaron found this cat tie at Target for 75¢. I think it is
hilarious. I can't even look at Stewie when he has it on. He doesn't
mind it at all and I swear he struts around when he has it on. (for the
commenter who wondered how Oscar is doing, note he is there in the
background staring at his empty supper dish)

Yesterday... Tina, Shruti and I volunteered for the United
Way Day of Caring . We spent the day weeding and painting at
the St. Johns Home .
It was nice to be outside and I think the garden area will be really
nice for the elders.
Being there made me think I should take Oscar and Stewie in as
therapy pets .
They would have to go through training but I think they would brighten
some elder's days.

I finally changed my banner over to a spring version. Maybe
the weather will follow. In that case just two last winter pictures I
found on my camera. Pets in snow.
Before anyone calls the SPCA... Stewie WANTED to go outside in
the snow. He cried and scratched at the door so much we finally said
fine! We thought after this episode he would want no more of that.
Huh-uh... he wanted to go right back out into the snow.
Our pets are weird.

I got a Sylvester and Tweety cat grass kit for Christmas and since it
doesn't look like spring outside, I thought I would plant some inside.
It grows faster than Stewie can eat it. It doesn't help that he nibbles
it ever so daintily.
I had some extra seeds so I planted them in an old coffee cup. I
thought it was so cute I moved my little sage plant over into a coffee
cup too.

I finally uploaded my Through the Viewfinder pictures for the World Through the Viewfinder Day group on flickr. I used my two favorite subjects for my pictures. They are so good at sitting laying still for the camera.
I missed the cutoff for judging but that is okay because I am actually a judge myself! There are so many great shots... it's gonna be hard.

Something weird is going on at our house. The pictures illustrate the recent events. Oscar is sleeping in Stewie's bed and Stewie is eating Oscar's food. Even stranger... the other just stands by...
