Happy Valentines Day everyone! I love the new messages on sweethearts! This one was my favorite! Aaron brought it home for me.
When I got up this morning there was a giant pillow heart waiting downstairs for me. Both Stewie and Oscar have been eyeballing it as a potential napping location - no! Bad kitty! Down boy!
Aaron sent me flowers at the office yesterday to kick off Valentines weekend. I love the peonies, hyacinth and pussy willows! What a nice surprise! (Even though they dribbled all over our receptionist's desk - oops!)
I made these I heart twitter buttons for my peeps for little Valentines Day treats. Have I mentioned how much I love my button maker?
I also made up these little goodie boxes for Tina, Shruti and Aprille. Inside were items I bought right in front of them! Clay bird for Tina, knit cup snuggy for Aprille and a bird decal for Shruti.
I love decorating for Valentines Day. (ok what holiday DON'T I love to decorate for?) I was excited to set up my heart tree in the new house. I had Aaron get me an extra big branch for it since we have more room now.
It looks so nice on our mantle with my other bits and bobs. The red really stands out. Almost makes me want to keep the living room white. Hah - almost.
I almost forgot to blog about this because I picked it up on the way home from my parents at Christmas and it seemed ridiculous to blog about Valentines Day so early. I found this in the Target $1 bins... it was $2.50 however, but still a great deal. It's perfect for our Jack & Jill bathroom upstairs.
Aaron surprised me with a pan to make ebleskiver aka Danish aka filled pancakes.
He made half with cream inside and half with chocolate.
In the evening we went to dinner at The Melting Pot and went to see Coraline.
I think the highlight was when we discovered we got each other the same Valentines card. It's the third time we have done this! Once at Christmas and again on our anniversary.
Valentine's Day is almost here so time to get cracking on some Valentine's projects. I designed these little Valentine cards for work that you can download and print for yourself. They would be great for tucking into a lunch bag or for the kiddies to give to their classmates. There is a link to the pdf here.
I also designed these lollipop treat templates. There are ones with Valentine messages...
... and a template you can personalize with your own photo. There is a link to the pdf's and how to's here. Nice little treats for handing out to your buddies.
Aaron won these candlesticks at his office holiday lunch. I was going to put them away for the season, but he pointed out they would work for Valentine's Day too.
He was right. Especially with pink candles. (which are harder to find than you would think) I love pink and red together!
We were checking out the Christmas clearance sales at Target over a week ago when I noticed they already had their Valentine's Day stuff out. And the theme is OWLS! Can you believe it?!
I am so lucky that I get to do stuff I enjoy at work. I just designed these Valentine's Day Candy Bar Wrappers for the project center.
Aaron had no idea he was going to be the cover boy for all the candy wrappers.
There are three different wrappers that you can download. They all have funny little sayings on them.
You can either open the pdf's up in a photo editing tool and add your pictures or print them out as is and cut out the hearts and place your picture behind the cutout.
