sweet pickles

My cucumbers were the biggest vegetable crop in the garden this year. Pickles seemed to be the best use of them.

Ingredients
12 Cucumbers
1 Onion, sliced
4 c Sugar
4 c Vinegar
1/2 c Salt
1 1/3 tb Celery seed
1 1/3 tb Mustard seed
1 1/3 ts Turmeric

Slice cucumbers and onion.

Place in jars.

Mix remaining ingredients well.

Pour mixture over cucumbers.

Screw lids on tightly. Place in refrigerator. Let stand 5 days before tasting. Will keep for a year.
