Bananarama

I really enjoyed this article on peeling a banana from the bottom. Exerpt.....

"Petal peels her bananas from the end without the stem. I mentioned as much at the lunch table last week and triggered a firestorm of debate that has put several research careers on hold and seriously jeopardized the marriage of at least one colleague who, in his single-minded pursuit of truth, has refused for over a week to talk about anything other than the pros and cons of alternative peeling methods."

It sounds just like a conversation we would have during our office lunch hour. We have had heated debates over whether or not a fudgsicle could be called a "popscicle", the asthetics of the Pontiac Aztec and if it was ok to put honey on pizza. Good to know we aren't the only ones.

Speaking of bananas... in the latest copy of Martha Stewart Living, there is a recipe for grilled bananas. Now I have had smores, but I had never heard of this campfire treat. You take a banana, slice through the skin, but not the actual banana, stuff in mini marshmallows and chocolate chips, close it up, wrap it in foil and toss it on the grill. Brilliant! How could I have spent so many summers at camp and never had one of these?!
