I agree with you - I enjoy looking at Cook's Country a lot more. I enjoy the photos and, I think that Cook's Illustrated's discussions are sometimes a little lengthy. I guess it depends what kind of cooking mood you're in! <br><br>You should check out "America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook" - it's written by the Cooks Illustrated folks and explains how to cook just about everything.. without the extended discussions about how they tested the recipe.
