Those walnuts ARE good! Last night I made a good salad: Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes cut in half, cucumbers with the seeds taken out, mozzerella crumbles, freshly ground salt and pepper, blue cheese dressing, and honey bbq boneless chicken fingers from the grocery store cut up. It was pretty darn good. I'm into the Mini Eggs already.Staciehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09837965103559762060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8367057002391131704.post-7392138236004969112006-01-11T22:28:28.233-05:002006-01-11T22:28:28.233-05:00I make the exact same salad, except I use Newman&#...I make the exact same salad, except I use Newman's Own Raspberry Vinagrette. In the meantime, beat one egg white and 1 tbl. of water until frothy and measure out 0.75c of sugar and a good pinch of salt. If you like cinnamon, go ahead and add a tablespoon or two. Take the walnuts out of the oven and put into mixing bowl. Toss with egg white mixture, and sprinkle over the sugar. Toss to coat well, return to baking pans, and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Voila!

For a fun variation, substitute the walnuts with pecans, and add two tablespoons of curry powder to the sugar.
