Star "Bucks"

Some coffee shops have internet access, some banks have online account access, and some banks have coffee. How about a coffee shop that is a bank with internet access?

At the ING Direct Café in Philadelphia, you can ask your barista about personal loan rates while you order a mocha cappucino. While you sip on it you can check your savings account online at a computer termimal or buy a coffee mug that has the ING Direct logo on it.

Some people might think this sounds like a bit much, but I think the place looks cool. Finances make me nervous... this atmosphere would make them seem less scary... more managable. Anything that would make balancing my checkbook less traumatic sounds like a good idea to me. More and more places are drawing customers by offering a cafe atmosphere. The way to the heart may be through the stomach...and maybe the pocketbook too.
