Brown Bagging It

Ages ago (last year) I spied a nifty bag in a catalog that looked like a paper bag but wasn't. It was a Brave Brown Bag , designed by Canadian, Charlotte McKeough. While these bags look and fold like thier namesake, they are actually made of cotton twill treated with a special oil and wax glaze to make them "virtually indefatiguable". They have a Maylar Kevlar lining, reinforced handles and a pinked edge. You can get them in all sorts of colors and several patterns.

I later saw them in Martha's catalog, and I was tempted once again... but these bags cost a bit more than the paper version, and as everyone knows.. I am not in need of yet another bag.

Today, though, I learned of Martha's tag sale. I don't know whether she is trying to make a little extra to pay her court fees or what, but most everything was 75% off. Including the Brave Brown Bag. Regularly priced $85... now available for $32. Only available in Almond... but for that savings I think Almond is quite lovely.
