Dear Diary... Or "Books with Legs on the Cover"

I love the "diary/journal" approach to novels. Some of my favorite recent reads have been "Bridget Jones' Diary", "A Girls Guide to Hunting a Fishing", "The Nanny Diaries" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (just starting that one).

So Amazon hit the mark when they sent me an email about "The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club". I don't think it is exactly a "diary" type book but "This collection of columns, originally written for the Arizona Republic, details Notaro's daring exploits and comical mishaps as she matures from wild teenager to disheveled adult." seems somewhat along those lines.

I hate to say it but I soooo judge books by the cover... and title. Amazon recommended "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging: Confessions of Georgia Nicolson", "On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God: Further Confessions", "Knocked Out by My Nunga-Nungas: Further, Further Confessions", "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and "Sloppy Firsts". Jackpot!
