Thursday, August 22 Liberty and Company

"Liberty was the very first retailer of authentic, personally researched and carefully sourced Oriental fabrics and artefacts. Its pioneering taste in Oriental art created one of the major design themes of 20th Century Europe. A truly eclectic mix of fabric, fashions, homewares, and gifts. United by a vision and taste that has thrived for 126 years."

I think this is the last privately owned large department store in London... but don't quote me on that. I loved all the fabrics and got lots of little bags and totes made of the patterns. I would like to get some fabric to bring back this time to make something with.
