If you think Hello Kitty is sickenly cute, there is now something for the older crowd, Beer Chan. I thought it was a spoof when I first saw the page, but Beer Chan is an honest to goodness San-X (not to be confused with Sanrio) character. He has foam on his head, a mug in his hand and what I take to be a bit of a soused expression. Not what one would expect to see the kiddies running around with on their backpacks and notebooks, but there you have it.
