On July 24 the smoking ban took effect in NY state. I couldn't have been happier. In Pennsylvania however, the mandatory motorcycle helmet law has been repealed. New Yorkers may live longer, but Pennsylvanians will start dropping like flies. I always got a kick out of a nearby town's motto, "Webster, where life is worth living!". Maybe PA can change theirs to "Where motorcyclists go to die."
