  2. The horses are just gorgeous! My husband and I are donating to save the wild mustangs that certain politicians want to slaughter...and have begun slaughtering. >:( Here is a site that may help you if you'd like to help them... http://www.savethewildmustangs.com/

And on a lighter subject...here is a site that I thought you might find rather cute: http://www.fredflare.com/customer/whatsnew.php

  7. i don't understand this whole "wild horses on the beach" thing. they just roam around? i thought that was what the birds were for, but i am on the opposite coast, so - anyway. totally confused and oh so jealous.

  8. Mipmup, yep, the horses just roam around. They've been on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for centuries, though no one knows exactly how they got there. One theory is that they swam ashore from shipwrecks (the Outer Banks was very dangerous for ships long ago, over 1000 shipwrecks off our coast). Another theory is that the horses came from Sir Walter Raleigh's lost colony at Roanoke. (I've lived in eastern NC most of my life and I LOVE the Outer Banks and the horses.)
