At this point anyone running for president that promised to get rid of daylight savings time would get my vote.

  1. I would like to just stay on day light savings time. It's standard time that's really kind of a misguided since it doesn't help me when it gets dark earlier.

  2. Right right... I just don't want to change my clock anymore.

  3. I HATE daylight savings, it's so ridiculous. It just makes it so it gets dark earlier in the winter. How is that saving daylight? It just makes me have to drive home in the dark!

  5. I love the clock!! Where did you buy it from?
I also agree with you on the Daylight Savings time... UGH! I need that extra hour...

  6. I'm with you. Pick a time and stick to it. I don't care if it's regular or daylight savings. Just pick one already!

  9. That clock is adorable!!!
On a side note, what did you think of V for Vendetta? I'd love to hear what you thought of it! Everyone I know who saw it either loved it or hated it, no inbetween.

  10. It's almost worth starting a blog - Indiana Resistance. It's been 25 years since I've had to change any freaking clocks or fool myself into thinking it's after 11 right now. My pets think I'm insane getting up so early.

And it's dark and cold again when I go to work. I was finally seeing daylight and this crap. The kids are stuck in the dark getting on the bus again. Nice.

Sorry - I've been on a roll on this. But I still wouldn't vote for Ozzy. Maybe Big Bird if Oscar was his running mate.

  11. I live in a place where daylight saving makes a huge positive difference in everyone's lives. Still, "springing forward" does hurt!

  13. To me, it feels like a giant prank, pulled by the night-owls on those of us who must get up early by choice or by circumstance.

I can't help but think that now some 95% of the population is office workers/teachers/doctors/factory workers/food service people/whatver, it's not saving any money - you have to use that hour of energy first thing in the morning when you're stumbling around trying to get ready for work. And everyone's slow and off-schedule for days to weeks afterward, which must hurt the All Holy Productivity that we're all told we're a part of. (Not to mention the time wasted resetting clocks).

it just gripes me that I'm now driving to work in the dark again. That just feels UNFAIR.
