Tina and I were at Target staring at the new Herbal Essences hair products... admiring the new packaging, sniffing the yummy scents and questioning whether our bathrooms could hold yet more product, when I spotted Shimmery Nights Shimmer Fragrance Mist (not to be found on their website... mmmm secret). Oooooo. The back said it contained diamond dust and champagne. PFFFFT! Get out of here! That's crazy! But no... I read the ingredients and sure enough... champagne and diamond powder! ON - YOUR - HEAD!

And into the cart it went...

  2. I have the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette shampoo and it has pearl powder as one of its ingredients. But diamonds and champagne...! I think I will have to get that too!

  3. I have target envy after reading your site! I use John Freida but never checked the ingredients, I might have to switch to being a brunette for some pearl powder! That's got to be the next best thing to diamond dust.

  6. But wouldn't champagne make your hair all sticky?

I second (or third?) the recommendation for Brilliant Brunette. I've been using it for a few months now, and I think my highlights are more pronounced. (This could, of course, have something to do with the summer sun, but I like to think the product had some effect, too.) It also keeps my hair really soft.

  8. hmmm, my mother tells me she used to set her hair with beer. I guess champagne is not that different.

I wonder if she ever set her hair with the champagne of beers?

  9. Ooh, I used to rinse my hair in beer, it does make it soft. And rain water, rain water makes for nice soft hair too... and then there was the mayonnaise hair mask, that didn't work out too good, it seemed to take days to wash out. Ah, my youth, when I messed with my hair with free stuff instead of buying new stuff left and right.

  11. I remember once when my friend told me that bananas were really great for your hair. Don't ever put mashed bananas in your hair, you won't get it out!
