It is officially fall, and fall means apple picking. We went for a small basket full and loaded up on apple crisp, apple cider and candy apples in the process. A couple of picture of our afternoon are on My Gallery.

  1. Yay! That looks like fun. Also, homemade applesauce is the best.

  2. I'm always jealous of these fun, seasonal activities you get to do. Here in one-season-Los Angeles we sadly miss out on such opportunities.

  3. Jenny - hi I’m new to Rochester and have been striking out trying to find a pick your own apple place.. just curious where you went. Also I really appreciate all the other Rochester hot spots you feature!

anonymous... this time we went to Kelly's out near Hilton. There is also Whittiers in Chili/Spencerport. Do a google for
Rochester apple picking and you will find some places.

  5. Ah, but in Los Angeles Oak Glen is but an hour away! Well worth the trip to the IE if you crave fresh apples and everything that goes with. Heck, it even snows there come December...
