Tater tots in the waffle iron

We are continuing to find new uses for our waffle iron. Tater tots made in the waffle iron turn out wonderfully crispy.

If they are frozen tater tots, as most are, you have to thaw them out before putting them in the waffle iron. We lightly oiled the waffle iron first.

They take about 8 to 9 minutes to cook. I don't know if I can have tater tots the normal way ever again!

  1. I got the book "will it waffle" and I am totally on a waffle everything kick. The best thing I've found was stuffing waffle - amazing but I gotta try the tater tot waffle now - who knew. I think I only used my waffle iron 2x's in a year now all the time.
