Girls Night Out at SWM

We have been on the go the past few weeks and I haven't hung out with my peeps in awhile so I was happy to be able to have a Girls Night Out.

We met at South Wedge Farmer's Market and kicked things off with Ice Candy from Eat Me Ice Cream. I had the strawberry.

Then we had pizza at Napa Woodfired Pizza on their deck. Look at that crust bubble! What is it about eating outside in the summer time?

I asked Rochester peeps on Twitter where there one could find outdoor dining in Rochester and compiled this great list! Sorry they aren't hyperlinked though.

Magnolias | Sinbads | Pomodoro | Rochester Tap Room | Revelry | Richardsons | Label7 | TRATA | Owl House | Banzai Mise en Place | Tap and Mallet | Gate House | Salenas | Edibles | Victoire | Genny Brewhouse | Napa Woodfired Pizza | Jines | The Red Fern | Aladdin's (Pittsford only) | Dinosaur BBQ | City Grill | Cibon

America's Favorite Farmer's Market - Rochester!

i figured it's time to plant my garden this weekend so I met Aprille and Joel there for breakfast and some plant shopping. Did you know the City of Rochester Public Market was voted America's Favorite Farmers Market for 2010 (Large Market)?!

I had a breakfast taco that I have been thinking about for many weeks.

There was a lot of new stuff (well new to me) at the market that we checked out. Javas at the Market. Got an iced coffee there.

Flour City Bakery.

Oooooh poutine!!!

Chickens and ducks!

And ooooooh Renee Suzette's Chocolate! Yum! Oh, yeah I got some great plants for my garden too.

It's easy to see why this is America's Favorite Farmers Market!

market

I was at scooter club on wednesday when I noticed cards for a South Wedge Farmers Market on thursdays.

The card said it was Rochester's only local sustainable farmers' market, so after work today we headed over to check it out.

Being so early in the season, it was mostly lettuce, lettuce and more lettuce, but I think it will be really nice this summer. We bought two heads of lettuce and will definitely be back to check it out again.

This saturday is our first veggie pick up at the CSA farm and we are pretty excited.
