Today was a great day for scootering to the Public Market to meet my peeps for brunch.
Looks like even the Public Market folks thought my scooter looked good parked there! They posted a picture of it on their Facebook page.
Had a great catch-up and brunch with Aprille and Tina. Flour City Bread Company breakfast sammies and Java's iced coffee and then some veggie shopping.
I am a huge fan of food trucks. I have been enviously observing the food truck movement in LA, NYC, Portland and Austin. Rochester has a few, but they can't operate like they do in other cities. Tonight, however, there was a roundup of Rochester Food Trucks at the Public Market.

They went Greek for the Food Truck Rodeo, so I got a gyro... this is Aaron testing it.

Some of the goodies I got for Valentine's Day... a Rochester Public Market cookbook and cute spatulas. I am very excited to try something from the cook book.
I also hear rumors that there will be a food truck rodeo at the Public Market! I'll keep you apprised of that development.
For flowers I got this amazing heart orchid. Gah! So cool! I am trying my Grandma's trick of watering it by placing ice cubes in the pot to melt. It might seem like a bad idea knowing that orchids like warm conditions, but my Grandma's orchids are amazing. They look like they could walk out to the kitchen and fix themselves a snack... so I'm giving it a go!
