Stewie for president!!!

I don't have anything to say about this lounging cat but... ridiculous.

He was a little embarrassed later.

Stewie maintains his dignity at all times.

They were in rare form this evening. Wyatt as a cat loaf.

Both of them staring at me like I owe them money.

And then this. The closest I've seen them come to snuggling. And on such a hot evening too!

While we were at the beach, Wyatt was a naughty kitty and broke a candlestick. He loves to climb up high and while on the mantel he knocked this milk glass candlestick to the floor.

What I am talking about?! Wyatt is naughty all the time. Case in point. I came home from work to find a torn paper bag soaking in the water bowls.

I thought that was strange. Sure enough, I heard meowing from the top of the stairs. There sat Wyatt with the paper bag handle around his neck and one arm. Then I notice that all the contents of said bag are strewn across the living room.

This is exactly why I am so careful not to leave plastic bags lying around the house.
The name on the bag makes this extra funny.

I was pretty happy when I saw these two hanging out together. Wyatt pouncing on Stewie and hanging on his neck to get him to wrestle is the closest they get.

Unlike Oscar and Stewie. They are buddies from way back and are expert snugglers.

And Hugo... he is just hanging out having a good time.

Happy Easter from the crew. Oscar looks so natural in bunny ears.

They were way too big for the cats.

Hugo mostly worries he won't make a good Easter bunny.

Wyatt refused to sit up so he got his picture taken sitting down. Lazy rabbit.

Not only was it good to see my sister and mom during Girls Weekend, but I got to visit with my sister's cat & dog. The vet recently told Inky here that she need to lose weight. I think she looks just fine. I hear ya, Inky. I hear ya.

While I was at my sister's house I got to witness how she feeds her dog Bronson cauliflower and broccoli. Poor thing. No wonder he was desperate for a taste of bacon. (which my mom slipped him some of during breakfast)

Maybe it was the bacon talking but I'm pretty sure Bronson was upset to see us go.

See how he was holding me back? "Don't leave me here with the veggie nut!" Hahahaha.

Happy Leap Day! I couldn't resist taking this picture on Snapchat with the kitties. It looks like Stewie is trying to grab the skyjumpers.

Are you on Snapchat? You can follow me - I'm snapljc.
Stewie was the first house cat I'd ever had. How was I to know that he is the World's Most Perfect Cat. He doesn't scratch, jump or get into any sort of general naughtiness. He is also very social.
Now Wyatt... Wyatt is a very social cat. Maybe a smidge more so than Stewie. Wyatt is always up in your business and he loves attention from anyone even strangers. These are not run and hide under the bed cats. He is also very tolerant of me hugging, squishing and carrying him around. But naughty. Hoo boy is Wyatt naughty. He zooms around the house, chomps on plants and jumps on the counter. Stewie just stares at him in disbelief.
Wyatt also loves to torment Stewie. Thankfully, as you can see in the Great Box War of 2016 above, Stewie can still put Wyatt in his place.

He is naughty and he knows it.

These guys are shooting hearts from their eyes!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Every morning this is what we see under our bedroom door. Even though he could go around the other way and come in through the Jack and Jill bathroom.

It's him again!

This is what happens when you sit down for a moment to do something on your computer. Pug barnacles attach themselves.

Have you heard of the Kitty Convict project? It was started by The Oatmeal who made Exploding Kittens out of which came the Kitty Convict project.
Apparently because people are used to seeing outdoor cats roaming around, when they see your indoor cat, they don't think to try and return him home. Less than 5% of missing cats are returned home.
If you have an indoor cat, put an orange collar on him so if he escapes anyone that sees him will know that he is a "kitty convict" on the run, capture him and let you know.
Stewie is a seasoned kitty convict. He has escaped three times. Once through a window the house painters left open and twice he pushed a storm door open. Each time we scoured the neighborhood and slept by an open door. Once he came home and twice a neighbor called when he tried to go in their house.

The Kitty Convict project partnered with GoTags on these orange collars with contact info. We were on that like orange on a cone. We went with the embroidered info right on the collar because Stewie has a habit of getting tags caught in the heat vents.

Wyatt hasn't busted out yet, but just in case we got him a collar too.

Folks on our neighborhood Next Door site have been posting about the project so I'm hoping if either cat makes a break for it, their orange collars will be spotted and they will be brought swiftly back to their incarceration.

After two months of Oscar chasing and barking at Wyatt, they are finally getting along. I think it got better when I started feeding them all together. Maybe they feel more like a pack now? Wyatt can hang out with the pugs and even walks past rubbing his tail on them. Wyatt enjoys snuggling up for a nap.

Sometimes Stewie is not interested in snuggling.

So Wyatt hangs out with the boots. Nobody here but us boots.

Wyatt seems to be settling in okay. I mean he looks relaxed enough.

Finding his favorite spots to stretch out.

Chilling in secret hangouts with his best buddy.

Oscar still isn't 100% on board. Hugo is cool with Wyatt but 2 out of 5 times Oscar will chase Wyatt. Seems if Wyatt is sitting or lying down, Oscar will leave him be. If Wyatt dares to walk across the room, the chase is on, with barking and legs scrambling. It doesn't seem to deter Wyatt. He continues to test his boundaries and I often see him peering around the corner to see where Oscar is first. At least it keeps them all busy.

Wyatt is enjoying his first Halloween. As a black cat he takes special pride in the day.

Of course he has his big brother, Stewie, to show him the way. What are the chances we get TWO cats that tolerate pumpkin t-shirts?

Oscar and Hugo helped us hand out candy. Barking at costumes they didn't care for. We had 80 trick-or-treaters tonight.

These are Aaron and I's jack-o-lanterns that we carved.

I modeled for my own pumpkin.
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!
