Movie Lists

I was pleased to see that Loobylu also likes Romantic Comedies. I am a big fan also. I am even openly fond of the movies she lists under "Movies that are slightly embarrassing and should be watched in private". In fact I own the first one on her list. On DVD.

Recently I was surveying my home video (and DVD) collection and I realized that they could be divided up into three distinct categories. Romantic comedies being only one of them.

1. Romantic Comedy examples: You've Got Mail, Four Weddings and a Funeral, So I Married an Ax Murderer, Groundhog Day

2. Science Fiction examples: Contact, The Abyss, Star Wars Trilogy, RoboCop

3. Movies where someone dies at the end examples: Love Story, Romeo and Juliet, Heathers, Braveheart (oops...hope I didn't give anything away there)

So basically if there is a movie where an extra terrestrial dies a violent death after meeting the love of his life through hilarious circumstances.... I will love it. And will watch it again and again and again.
