When we were at the film festival we also sat behind Chris Murphy at Shopgirl. Mind you we didn't know who he was at the time. People were asking for his autograph and we kept peering at him trying to guess who he might be.

The next morning we were watching Much Music and there he was doing guest commentary on a show. Apparently, he is the lead singer of Sloan. There was a round of "Ahhhs" when we saw him. Good thing, it would have driven me nuts.

  1. Gah!!!! Sloan has been one of my favorite bands since I was 16... Very smart and very rock, which means they've never gotten very popular in the US.

  2. Nifty! I'm a big Sloan fan and the few times that I've met Jay Ferguson, he's been immensely polite (even wrote out a set list for me). The whole band has, historically, been great with their fans at shows.

  3. Er, wait a minute. Not to be a rock star policy wonk or anything, but you have a photo up of Chris Murphy, not Jay Ferguson.
