Stranger Than Fiction was at the Toronto International Film Festival but we weren't able to get tickets for it. So for today's movie club (it's like book club but easier!) I suggested we go see it.

We all thought it was a great movie and we had a bit of discussion afterward. One of the most interesting points was the postcards we were handed when we left the theatre about the toothbrush Harold Crick uses in the movie! Apparently it was a toothbrush called a Preserve toothbrush that is recycled from yogurt cups. The company Recycline has a partnership with Stonyfield Farms.

I think that is beyond cool and I am going to look for one the next time I am at Target.

  1. You can buy them at Trader Joe's as well!

  2. I have been using their toothbrushes for over a year now because, I admit, they come in cool colors like black and lime green. And because they're recyclable-you actually use the packaging they come in and mail them back to the company when you're done. Plus, they work as well as any other toothbrush I've used.

  3. I wanted to see this movie yesterday, but a friend won an intense game of rock paper scissors (I always underestimate the power of paper) and decided we see Borat.

Worst movie evar. I probably would have blogged about the toothbrushes too!

  4. I just think it's funny that the company wasted paper to print out the post cards to encourage recycling. OH well.

  5. I've seen razors made from Stonyfield Farms yogurt cups, but I didn't know they made toothbrushes as well. Cool!

  7. I think those are the same toothbrushes I use too. I didn't know they were eco-friendly. I just like how they feel.

  8. You can also find them at Whole Foods. I use an electric toothbrush now, but I still keep a Preserve one in my desk for after lunch.
