Aaron got me a nut roaster and three different flavors of glaze for Christmas so we made toffee coated nuts for New Years Eve. Ooooweeee they are good. I have big plans for the nut roaster in the new year.

  2. We've been playing with roasted chestnuts, but the flavor plain is just so so. Thoughts on a good chestnut topping?

  3. you need my recipe for spicy pecans! I will give you the baking instructions, but you'll need to do it differently w/ your stove top roaster.
ingredients: 3 Tbsp butter, 2 tsp salt, 1 lb pecan halves, 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, dash of tabasco. Melt the butter and salt in a lg. saucepan and add pecans, stirring to coat. Add in all other ingredients and mix well. Pour into baking dish and bake at 300 for 30 mins, turning frequently. I swear, the longer these sit, the better they taste, so make them at least a day or two before you want to eat them.
