dutch baby

Even though I only have furry children, I get to celebrate Mother's Day.

For breakfast Aaron made me a Dutch Baby with whipped cream and berries. It was buttery-licious!

Oscar and Stewie pooled their pennies together and bought me two Japanese Maples for the front yard. We went to our local Oriental Garden Supply where they have greenhouse after greenhouse of Japanese Maples to choose from. I picked a lacy red variety.

To end the day we went to the Lilac Festival to sniff the lilacs and eat vast quantities of kettle korn.

A good day for a puppy and kitty mom.

  1. Hi Jenny,

I just wanted to thank you for your email. Every time I read your blog I am amazed at all of the things now available in Rochester since we left. I just sent this Oriental Garden Supply info on to Paul. It's becoming harder and harder to find reasons not to move back!

    Have a wonderful day!

  2. Dutch Babies are my absolute favorite breakfast treat, but I have never seen a heart-shaped one. So cute!

  3. First of all, that's in impressive mother's day breakfast Aaron made for you!
Second, I am jealous of your Oriental Garden Supply shop! Last summer I bought a japanese maple and have been a little doubtful about it's survival in our semi-tropical climate, but it's doing okay. In fact, I just posted about it on my blog a week or so ago. Wish I had had green houses and green houses worth to choose from!

  4. You're a bunny mom too, right?!

  5. Ewww... and a very bad one apparently... I forgot. Ernie never gets me a card though.
