outside

Oscar and Stewie enjoy being outside.

I am paranoid Stewie will make a break for it so he wears a harness and leash. I really am being paranoid because all he does is lay around.

  1. Hey, my cat has the same harness! I don't take him outside, though. I tie him to a chair as punishment whenever he terrorizes my other cat. Bad kitty :(

  2. I used to let my kitty run wild until he started "exploring" the neighbors' yards. That would've been OK if they weren't occupied by large ferocious dogs. Then shortly after, he thought the front yard would be fun to play in and eventually crossed the street. That was curiosity that broke the kitty's fun. On went a collar and leash. Now he's pretty used to it but every once in awhile he darts out the door for a brief respite of running before I catch him and imprison him on his leash again. Haha!

  3. One of our cats, the declawed one, loves to escape and then disappear. I worry for his safety since he has no front claws, so we tried the leash thing. Once. He seriously (and literally) flipped out. So now he's only allowed out under direct supervision.

On the other hand, our other cat, who has all his claws, has shown no interest in exploring anything beyond the patio.

  5. I have the same harness too. We have an indoors cat and she never tries to escape when the door is open, but once we leash her she runs to the door and can't wait to get out.

  6. I think it's funny that in those pictures that Stewie is leashed and harnessed but Oscar isn't. :-) I love your pets! They are sooo adorable.
