Starting seedlings

We decided to start seedlings inside this year for our veggie garden. Aaron even got a sod blocker to make little blocks of dirt to start the seedlings in.

I've always wanted one of these newspaper pot makers and he got one of those too to hold sod for planting flower seedlings.

These plus heat mats resulted in little plants popping up in just a couple days.

Now we have lots of tomatoe, cucumber, zuchhini and beet seedlings for our veggie garden!

  1. Those kind of look like brownies! (That is how my brain works.) It'd be fun to make little brownie squares and put something edible on top that looks like a seedling. Hmm, I may have to try that...

  3. I'm a newbie to veggie gardens and thought about starting along the same route. Did you get the heat lamps and other nifty supplies at your garden center?? Awesome job to both of you!
