Memorial Day: first boat ride of the season

Since Memorial Day seems to mark the beginning of summer, we took the boat out for the first outing of the season. Here I am at the wheel on Lake Conesus. I am a speed demon. (No, I'm not)

After two days of rain, the weather was just right. I was Snapchatting the scenery left and right (note I have discovered the cute stickers on Snapchat)

Look at these two! They have the pose down to a science.

As always we like to have a snack destination, so halfway through we stopped for a cheese plate. Boating works up an appetite!

Memorial Day

We spent some time this Memorial Day cleaning up my grandparent's gravesite and planting new flowers. There are markers throughout the cemetary marking those who have served from the Civil War on. My grandfather was in World War II. Not many of those left.

We stopped by the cemetary while we were home to check on my Granfather's grave. There were flags on all the military member's graves. My grandfather was in WWII. As we looked around we were surprised to find markers from the Civil War and even the Revolutionary War.

I'm so glad someone takes the time to commemorate these service men and women.

I love parades. I went downtown this morning for the Rochester Memorial Day parade.

That was after I dropped Aaron off at the starting point. He was in the parade!
