Tina called me last night to tell me her mom had passed away. I was shocked. Despite all the things that had been going wrong, I was totally convinced she would be ok. I woke up in the middle of the night partly to a loud windstorm and partly due to a dream where Tina's mom went to my high school and I had to explain to everyone what happened. It made no sense. I am still dazed today. Her mom was one of the funniest and most generous people I have met. I wish all the strength in the world for Tina and her family to get through this.
