I colored Easter eggs today with Aaron and my sister. I had it in my head that I wanted eggs that looked like real bird eggs. So after I dyed my eggs, I put them in a box and splatter painted them with a toothbrush and paint. I think they look cute. My dad said he has never seen a bird lay an egg like these.

I think they turned out beautiful! I would love it if I saw a bird lay an egg like that. I wonder what the bird would look like?

Hi Jenny...where did you find your ceramic egg holder? I know Giada always uses one and I can't find one anywhere. Thanks!

they look like turkey eggs to me. that is, if turkeys laid blue eggs :) the brown one on the left looks almost exactly like one.

Isn't that ceramic egg holder the cutest! Aaron put it in my Easter Basket and he got it at William Sonoma. I had seen it on Giada's show also and wanted one so badly! Hurry now! They probably only have them for Easter!

Those are gorgeous! I saw these on the Delicious Days site a day too late, but they're on my list to try next year! http://www.deliciousdays.com/archives/2007/04/08/last-minute-easter-eggs/

Those eggs are absolutely beautiful. I would blow out eggs, dye them like that and use them to decorate my house somewhere. Perhaps with a found abandoned birdnest. Beautiful!!!

They are beautiful. And that blue one in the closeup looks HUGE! Must be a XXL!
