Tina and I decided bamboo was the new black awhile ago. I just spotted these bambu disposable plates and utensils and other pieces at Parkleigh. The plates seem pricey for something you throw away, (I have been getting the corn ones) but they look so nice. I did get the reusable little "sporks" though. They also have lots of trays, bowls and other products.

Hmm...I've seen those bamboo plates at Sur La Table but you're right; they're pricey. I need something for my big holiday party that's 1) disposable 2) cheapish and 3) pretty, ie, it doesn't look like Chinet or your average plastic plate. I don't know if that product even exists. I'm thinking I may have to rent real plates from a party rental place but that sounds annoying.
