Lately I have been thinking about getting a couple chickens for the backyard. I first got the idea when I read this article in the NY Times a year ago.
There is a city chicken club here in Rochester that I could join. I even found this really cool chicken coop online called Chicken Heaven. Aaron hasn't been completely on board with the plan though.

Aaron and I were inside Wegmans buying oatmeal cookie ingredients and when we came out this note was on the Smart Car.
I started collecting abandoned grocery shopping lists when Aaron first started working at Wegmans (in a store). I thought this was so awesome. Thanks Kimberly! You made my day!
Aaron came to a standstill in the middle of the shaving cream aisle at Wegmans because he spotted this line of men's shaving products. What he saw was the NXT packaging with an led light that made the bubbles glow every 15 seconds. Into the cart it went. At least it does smell good... like peppermint and it gives me something to watch while I'm brushing my teeth.

Gucci is a 6-year-old female cat whose former owners could no longer afford to care for her. She is feeling a little scared at Lollypop Farm, so she would really like to go to a comfy new home soon! Gucci has lived with kids and with other cats before, and is currently living in a cattery with other kitties at the shelter. Gucci qualifies for the Seniors-for-Seniors program, so approved adopters age 60 and over can bring her home free of charge! - Lollypop Farm

Yes, at midnight last night I was sitting in the theatre with my friends to see the opening of Twilght. *sigh* So good. It was a pajama party teenager screamfest but besides that the movie was so good.

Tonight is a new epidsode of Pushing Daisies and I hope lots of people watch it. There have been rumors that it might be canceled and I can't bear the thought.
"Save Pushing Daisies" fans encourage mailing ABC packets of daisy seeds. It's kind of challenging to find flower seeds at the store in the middle of November so I made my own. I used the seed packet favor template I designed awhile ago, so it wasn't very hard.

Kylie is a handsome guy who our volunteer dogwalkers say is attentive, walks well on the leash, and loves to run around the play yard. He would do best in an adult-only home with an experienced owner. He also needs to meet any dogs in the home before being adopted. A condition of Kylie's adoption is that he be enrolled in obedience classes; this will help with socialization and help him to build trust in his new owner. Today is Tina's birthday and I threw a party for her at my house. Instead of a cake, I made birthday cupcakes.
I also made pink and black M&M favors.
It's not a party without party favors.
I used one of my sparkling, singing pop open flower birthday candles for the birthday girl to blow out.

Today was Shruti's baby shower and I was a co-host. I was in charge of decorations. The theme was autumn with the colors, orange, pink, lime green and brown.
I made sure there were lots of pumpkins and leaves.
I especially like the brown glitter pumpkins I found.
There was lots of cake eating and games like "guess the melted chocolate bar in the diaper"- type games. And judging by the gifts, Shruti's baby will be the best dressed little girl in town.
Tina's 4oth birthday is on Sunday, but I decided to kick off the birthday weekend by making these buttons for folks to wear around the office today.
I made Tina a special big one.
I made her a crown too. She wouldn't wear it to meetings though, and I don't know why. : )

I kept checking the site to see Stewie show up and was starting to think it had been rejected... then I realized the site hasn't been updated since April. Bummer.

I love my rainboots. I would wear them in the winter too, but with just the rubber your feet get really cold. I was really excited when I saw these Moovboots... waterproof wellies with 100% sheepskin that are perfect for wearing in the snow.
They come in a short version and a tall version. They are a bit pricey though and with last years boots holding up just fine, I cannot justify them.
