Farm veggies

I forgot to mention that our CSA farm is going again. Here is last week's haul...

... and this week's veggies. Those red peppers were grilled with the onion for chicken fajitas and I'm thinking those green peppers will become stuffed peppers. Most of the cucumbers were made into a cucumber salad, the peas eaten with spaghetti noodles, butter and parmesan cheese and the lettuce with rice and hot pepper paste (Korean treat) Just saw a great idea for the zukes... zucchini bread with a layer of cream cheese in the center. Nom nom.

Stuffed Peppers

We are loving the veggie haul we are getting from our co-op farm.

This is what we got today... see those two green peppers?

We made them into stuffed peppers for dinner. I don't even like green peppers, but I like stuffed peppers. I just eat the guts out of them and leave the pepper carcass behind. Cheese is also key.

First veggie pickup

Although we loved the CSA farm we belonged to last year, it was more than a half hour drive away. It wasn't the best thing to be driving there and back each week. This year we have switched to Wndy Meadow Farms which delivers everyone's produce to drop off locations and we only have a mile to pick up our veggies. We can even walk there or take our scooters.

This week was our first veggie pickup. We even got to choose what we wanted. We selected potatos, radishes, spinach but no... absolutely no cilantro. We are cilantro tastes like soap people. Well, they still gave us cilantro anyhow. That's okay. The radishes were really good.

csa

We got quite the haul today at our CSA farm. Several varities of squash and beans, some cucumbers... and my favorite... sunflowers and zinnias for my dining room table.

ginger

We also saw Ginger at the dairy. She is getting even bigger. Must remember to bring her a granola bar next time.

Today was our first pick up at our CSA farm. We got to meet the goats, chickens and one very large angry turkey. This weeks harvest was lettuce, radishes, onions and another bag of lettucey looking stuff. We also picked a bunch of strawberries... yum yum.
