Hand me my axe

The temperatures are taking a dip this week and snow is heading in so it's time to break out the lumberjack fashion.

Who knew lumberjacks got to be so comfy all day?

Dressed to impress

This week has been non-stop holiday celebrations at the office. Grazing day, luncheons, secret Santas. I needed an outfit that really reflected the festive mood. What is more festive than a pug? Behold the Christmas pug sweatshirt!

And Christmas pug socks to match. I think the outfit was a hit.

This is what Stewie has to say "THAT'S A LOT OF PUG!"

Red, white & blue summer garb

My standard summer uniform has been made up of red, white and blue.

Shorts and patterned shirts... all in red or white or blue.

Sometimes I like to mix it up and flip flop it. Patterned shorts and solid shirt. Still in red, white and blue. Definitely summer colors.

Pack that dress back in the closet

I got a new frock for church on Easter Sunday. It was warm enough in PA to have bare legs! In fact, yesterday was 75 degrees as we were leaving.

When we got back to Rochester, I made the mistake of looking at the week's weather forecast. Rain, rain, rain. 44 degrees... brrrrr.

Mad for plaid

I had never been into Toms shoes even though I really liked how the company gives back. Then Aaron got me these plaid Toms for Christmas and I was hooked. Not only are they adorable and add to my lumberjack chic trend but they are super comfy.

He also got me a plaid shirt for Christmas. A complete lumberjack holiday outfit!

Lumberjack Chic & Buffalo Plaid

I've noticed as the weather gets colder I seem to dress like a lumberjack. Lumberjack chic?

I learned today that this particular plaid pattern is called "Buffalo Plaid". Some note the first shirt with this broad, two color, checked pattern was produced by Woolrich around 1850. Woolrich is in Pennsylvania, and I have been there several times. I can attest that they have a boatload of Buffalo Plaid there.

The history seems to go back a little further to the Rob Roy tartan of Clan MacGregor in Scotland. One of the clan descendants settled in Montana and traded blankets with the pattern for buffalo pelts - thus the name.

Aaron got me this outfit! I wasn't sure if I would like skinny cords or not... it seems contradictory, but I love them!

Critter leggings for fashion and warmth

With this cold weather, I'm turning cozy up to eleven. I found these fox sweater leggings at Target. It's like wearing a sweater... on your legs.

Leave it to me to find multiple articles of clothing with critters on them. Another pair of leggings found at Target, this time with rabbits and again, foxes. The foxes are a little hard to see.

Note the "find a great pair of shoes and buy them in multiple colors" habit strikes again. These booties... in black suede.

Late summer outfit

Last weekend it started to cool off and feel like fall. My new fav weekend outfit = shorts + a button up + sandals. I was thinking I could carry on this lil fashion trend for a bit but looks like we are in for some hot weather again!

Blue

A monochromatic outfit is the way to go some days.
