Today we all went strawberry picking. I realized my friends have different picking techniques. Tina looks for the plumpest reddest berries and then twists the stem so as not to bruise the berry. She moves further and further down the row looking for better and better berries til she's just a dot.
Matt looks under every leaf and weighs the berry in his hand before plucking it.
Hannah had the most amusing technique of randomnly picking a berry and smooshing it to a pulp in her efforts to yank it from the vine.
We all went back to my place for Strawberry Shortcake. I still have several quarts left over. Strawberry juice, strawberry smoothies, strawberry pie, strawberry shakes, strawberry ice cream. Yum.
